Bo Badger, with Taylor Hole aboard, wins a photo finish in the ninth and last of the regular races held at Suffolk Down before a crowd of 9,183. After struggling financially for many years, and after a proposal to build an adjacent gambling casino is rejected, the track turns to holding a series of short-term “racing festivals” beginning in 2015. Catauga County, with Andy Hernandez Sanchez aboard wins the last race when the track closes permanently on June 30, 2019.
